For the Wager Slave Black Dogs exhibition Andy reworked and further investigated his ear-annoyance techniques by inventing another musical game to play with the audience. Members were invited to provide some personal information (in the form of a decision tree), which Abbott then transcribed with a clever-key to make a personalised sound using novel effects and cheap instruments (toy piano, kalimba, penny whistle, contact microphones etc).
The personalised sound was then added to an ongoing free form composition utilising pricey loop pedals which the participant then voluntarily endured. The whole composition was edited down the following day and sent out via Royal Mail to the participants as a limited Edition CDR. You can download a version by clicking here.
