Welcome to the archive website for Bradford Threadfest. Bradford Threadfest was an annual city-wide independent music and arts festival initiated by Andy Abbott in his role as Fellow in Music for University of Bradford. The aim was to introduce students, staff and the wider public to the grassroots music and arts scene in the city, as well as hosting international touring acts. Between 2012 and 2017 international acts that performed as part of Bradford Threadfest included Nisennenmondai (Japan), Circle (Finland), Richard Bishop (USA), Ogoya Nengo and the Dodo Womens Group (Africa), Nadja (Canada) and many more as well early performances from Richard Dawson, Fling, Commoners Choir, Rattle, Rachel Maclean and Javaad Alipoor amongst hundreds of local artists.
