Elizabeth is the solo project of Bradford-based artist, writer and musician Andy Abbott. Better known for his deafening (baritone) guitar work in noise-rock duo That Fucking Tank and krautrock quartet NOPE, Andy uses Elizabeth as a platform to explore more experimental, ambient and immersive sounds taking influence from 50s minimalist composition as well as 70s folk, progressive rock and early electronic music. Elizabeth is also a way for Andy to merge his music and art practice, often working in a site or context responsive manner and utilising film, projection, performance and field recordings to create abstract music with a narrative underpinning.

Since 2006 Elizabeth has been a bedroom recording project with a series of digital releases on Andy's Obscene Baby Auction label and two limited edition cassette releases on Sheffield's More Pricks than Records (2008) and Brighton's Precious Metal Tapes (2012). Elizabeth has also recorded sessions for the Crow Versus Crow radio show and contributed to various compilations.

Elizabeth has performed in a variety of spaces from gigs and improvising sessions in Leeds and Bradford to installations in galleries including SITE (Liverpool), Impressions (Bradford) and the V&A Museum (London). In 2006 Elizabeth performed across Europe as substitute for That Fucking Tank with mixed reactions.

Elizabeth is sometimes shortened to ELZTH for more electronic and synth-based experiments.
