This Obscene Baby Auction Presents
Cath and Phil Tyler
Newcastle folk duo make a long-awaited appearance in Bradford. Legends in their hometown Cath and Phil play Anglo-American folk music using guitar, banjo, voice and fiddle. Coming together musically through a shared love of traditional narrative song, full voiced sacred harp singing and sparse mountain banjo, they have performed on stages as diverse as the Royal Opera House in London and a dank tower in the old city walls of Newcastle.

Stephanie Hladowski and C. Joynes
Last year Bradford’s most stunning voice Stephanie Hladowski and Cambridge-based guitarist C. Joynes teamed up to make an album of traditional folk songs for Bo’Weavil recordings called The Wild Wild Berry. This gig will see them performing songs from the fast-becoming classic described on Boomkat as ‘superb and timeless’ and a record that has drawn attention to Steph as ‘folk singer of the year’.

Bennett/Murray/Vulliamy
The musical answer to the question; what should be done if three of the finest and most affable improvising musicians in the UK happen to all live in Bradford? A joyous collaboration of double bass, viola/vocals and trombone making it up in short bursts that are sad, energetic, unnerving, funny and intuitively composed. Seth has played in a ton of bands and groups from the DIY punk scene through to 7 Hertz, McWatt and countless Jazz projects. Aby and George were both members of Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra.
